*MAKEUP TIPS*
Eyes:
Smokey eyes - There are a few ways to acheive the sexy sultry smokey eye that you see on models and actresses everywhere. First make sure you have a matte cream or eye primer on your lid to hold the shadow. You can use brown, burgundy, grey, or black for smokey eyes depending on your hair color. You can never go wrong with brown or grey. First powder your lid so your shadow doesn't crease then add your color from lash to crease of your eyes shading upward, do not go all the way up to your brow, now find a color that is in the color range you chose such as a beige or peach color to accent the dark color in the crease of your eye. Make sure you blend well so it does not look harsh. if you would like your lashes to stand out then line over your top lashes with black or dark brown then add about 2 to 3 coats of mascara on top lashes. as for the bottom lashes add 1 coat. if you have large eyes you can line the inside of your eye with eyeliner either black or grey works best now take a eyeliner brush and dust the same dark color under your eyes. Practice makes perfect!
Colors that make your eyes pop! - for hazel and brown eyes use golds, browns, purples even greens. for blue eyes use black, peaches, browns, greys. green eyes use purples, browns, taupe. EXPERIMENT!
Face:
Foundation - Always test your color on your neck not your wrist and make sure you have plenty of light! If you have oily skin get a matte foundation or oil control product before application. If you have dry skin get a moisture based foundation. There are so any brands of foundation. I recommend Loreal True Match, MAC and Prescriptives. They have the best color matches for anyone's skin tone.
Concealer - Always choose a shade that is one shade lighter then your foundation. The difference between concealer and corrector is a concelaer hides imperfections and the yellow and greens toned correctors help hide redness and purple imperfections.
Cheeks:
Bronzers - Everyone looks good in a bronzer. If your skin is very white then don't go overboard with a dark shade, buy a ver light or nuetral bronzing powder i recommend a mineral bronzer and dust lightly along your cheekbones forehead and a little over the nose. Do not use shimmery bronzer on skin that is real wrinkled and has scars it will bring them out use a matte bronzer instead. Bronze your apples of your cheeks and lightly along your temples forehead and chin to give you that sunkissed look.
Lips:
Small Lips - To add a little fullness and glamour to your lips first make sure your lips are mositurized, then outline your lips with a pencil on the very edge of your lips, do not draw the line to far out or it will look fake. Add your color of choice then get a lipgloss and rim the top of your lip and bottom, do not cover whole lip with gloss or it will be to much. This should make your lips look fuller.
Pale Lips - For those supermodel nude lips always make sure your lips are soft first. Then you can either go buy your favorite tan/nude lipstick to match your skin. Don't go to light it looks cakey and bad. Or you can use eyeshaow, yes i said eyeshadow, take a beige or pink toned eye shadow across the lips with your finger tip and your lips will look magnificent. You can also use a light foundation and a clear gloss over that. It looks more natural !
Longer Lasting Lips - If you want your lipstick to stay on longer put a touch of foundation on your lips, it helps hold the lip color on. Also Use lip liner around your lips to prevent bleeding.
Lashes:
Mascara - If you don't want clumpy lashes dust your mascara across your lashes horizontally instead of vertically from bottom up.
Curling Lashes - Start from sticking the base of your lashes in and hold for a few seconds then move up 1 or 2 times depending on length of lashes and hold for a few seconds each time then add mascara. Never put it mascara before you curl your lashes will get destroyed.
False Lashes - If you are going to apply false lashes there are a few ways to apply them. First you want to trim them if they are a strip and are to long for your eyelid. If you have long lashes you can curl them first or with the lashes on. Then you want to run the seam of the lashes into the glue let dry a little so it gets sticky, then put into the center of your lashes and push the ends down after you have it set into the center.
